Nicola Fenton came to compliance writing from health and safety. She spent ten years as an H&S consultant advising SMEs, landlords, and letting agents on fire safety, risk assessment, and regulatory obligations. She started writing because most of the guidance available was either written by lawyers or written by nobody. She writes about business compliance, workplace safety, landlord regulations, and the paperwork that nobody enjoys but everybody needs. She explains obligations in plain English and has no patience for jargon that exists to sell consultancy. Nicola lives in Derbyshire. She has read more risk assessments than novels this year and expects the ratio to hold.
