Since the appointment of Brandusa Rotaru as Community Engagement Officer, Caridon Property Group has rolled out a major tenant engagement programme at Imperial Apartments as part of the company’s commitment to ‘making lives better’. Caridon Property Group has provided more than 600 tenants at Imperial Apartments with free of charge services and support designed to promote tenant welfare.
Brandusa Rotaru is responsible for staging events and helping residents to access a range of different services and support in the local community. Resources provided to Imperial Apartments tenants include jobs and upskilling workshops, early years education initiatives, mental health support, health screening, social engagement programmes, information advice sessions and other events.
Over the last eight months, Ms Rotaru and the Caridon Property Group have hosted various engagement socials and coffee mornings at Imperial Apartments, partnering with local organisations and promoting initiatives such as the Shelter Parents’ Group at Imperial Apartments. Caridon Property Group also organised a visit for residents to Young Bristol’s Youth Club on Wheels at Knowle West Park, as well as facilitating the establishment of a Residents’ Association created to help tenants foster friendships and build their own community. In coming months, Brandusa Rotaru and Caridon Property Group hope to partner with more local organisations, staging more social events and organising visits.
Reflecting on Caridon Property Group’s activities at Imperial Apartments, Ms Rotaru said that the team had worked hard to foster a sense of community, speaking to tenants to curate a calendar of social events and building partnerships with local organisations to offer support on everything from early years education to mental health. In addition, Caridon Property Group has also helped bring foodbanks to the development, as well as offering support to the large number of people living in social housing who have relocated from other areas and lack a support network of friends and family locally. Brandusa Rotaru highlighted Caridon Property Group’s role in making lives better for Imperial Apartments residents, helping to build relationships whilst underpinning residents’ wants and needs through strategic partnerships. She said she was excited to see the difference this makes in terms of both the happiness of tenants and Imperial Apartments’ diverse community overall.
